Did anyone take any photos over half-term that they'd like to show us/ the group?

We managed to arrive early to the lesson this week thanks to traffic. We thus had time before to source 4 cameras with SD cards and A3 paper for the mind maps (I bought some coloured pens for them to use). None of them had done any photography that they wanted to share over the half term so we moved on to talk about the mind map. We set them the task and they got underway in 4 groups, some in pairs and one group of three. We walked around and chatted about their ideas and after they had finished, asked them to share one thing from their mind map each. We explained the idea for the outcome and how the ideas on their mind maps can help them to think of their individual poster. Some wanted to do drawings, some were keen on words and others photography - it was nice to see the range of interests. We asked that they think about more ideas for theirs over the weekend.
Then we explained the camera basics to each group and let them choose their favourite object to create one image to show everyone. This aimed to get them used to creating an outcome. Once they finished and had an image they were happy with, they uploaded their image to the google classroom folder. We don't have access yet but will ask for them next week for the blog.
